BCsystems : Cloud Strategy to Improve Mobility, Productivity and Security

Business challenge:  BC systems faced an increasingly common challenge in moving the organisation from a traditional “in office” based operation with on-premise practice management systems to embracing a modern work approach focused on improving mobility, productivity and security.    

Solution: Trimble Networks worked with the leadership team in developing a strategy that balanced existing investments and inherent cloud limitations of some systems with the cloud migration of essential IT workloads. The project included the strategic planning and migration of email and file services to Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud platform. The staff’s productivity improved by shifting from a remote desktop (terminal services) environment to a more mobile-centric, rich desktop experience. 

Result: With a long term strategy and initial stages completed, the business has modernised its approach to work as a highly mobile Body Corporate management team. Office centric staff can also work as effectively from home leveraging BYOD devices. The strategy has further extended the life of the current infrastructure while ensuring the organisation maintains highly resilient business services.
